Stills are also a tool for survival much like a gun. Whether life continues as normal or there is a natural disaster, war, or a catastrophic event owning your own still has many amazing qualities. Owning a gun and owning a still can hold the same value when it comes to protecting our freedoms as American’s and protecting our lives from harm. We watch movies and shows about survival. Is your homemade moonshine still safe?

Posted by Jonathan Zajac on

Is your homemade moonshine still safe? Poorly produced moonshine can be contaminated, mainly from materials used in the construction of the still. Stills employing automotive radiators as condensers are particularly dangerous. In some cases, glycol, products from antifreeze, can appear as well. You know what really “lights my still”?

Posted by Jonathan Zajac on

What really lights my still is the fact that barely anyone has ever been informed that moonshine is essentially the same thing as GAS (ETHANOL).  People don’t understand that they can actually produce their own gas.  This is the reason I have said on numerous occasions that a copper moonshine still is an essential tool which every household should own as part of their personal emergency contingency plan.  By distilling fermentable materials, one can create an ETHANOL GASOLINE sufficient to power even the biggest of internal combustion gasoline engines.  IF you have your own copper moonshine still, you can heat your home throughout the cold...
